Mahota Textiles

Mahota Textiles is the first Native American owned textile company in North America. Founded in Sulphur, Ok  by Chickasaw textile designer Margaret Roach Wheeler . She honors the spirit of her great-great grandmother Mahota; a word in Chickasaw and Choctaw language meaning "to seperate by hand". A great value was placed on works created by hand for loved ones and their community. The threads of the Chickasaw Native American history reveal a colorful weaving together of heritage and tradition. The logo of five irregular concentric circles represents five generations of Indigenous women. These soft, luxuriuos woven textiles are of the finest natural fibers of cotton, wool, linen, or other materials to create lasting home goods that feel good. No chemicals are ever used in the weaving and finishing. They are beautiful and durable, breathable and comfortable, and human-friendly.

Sudara

In 2006, Sudara partnered with a sewing center in India and taught six women how to sew a pattern for loungewear pants they had lovingly named Punjammies®. The previous year, founder Shannon Keith, had returned from a trip to India and heard story after story of women who were sold into sex slavery. Shannon and her team knew that safe, steady and living-wage employment would be a pathway to freedom and offer choices for women and their families.  Donations made during checkout at sudara.org go towards the Sudara Freedom Fund and have helped fund safe housing for women escaping trafficking, equipment for new or growing sewing centers, microloans and back-to-school programs. These women create a colorful line of Punjammies, robes, shorts, and capri pants.

One Hundred Stars

Silk screen designed kimonos and headbands from the UK based One Hundred Stars.  Rona and Heather Stevenson, two sisters from Sheffield, England created their lovely designs in 2015 to fulfill a dream of sharing their eclectic style and taste. Sharing a colorful background in textiles and design, they love seeing their designs come to life. The stylish and easy to wear kimono's we have in stock are created from the KEW archives of historically significant artwork at Londons' Royal Botanical Gardens.

Indigenous Fashion

Soft, durable pima cotton clothing from Indigenous, a southern California company bettering the lives of women & communities through fair trade. Pima cotton grown in Peru is handcrafted of the highest quality by Peruvian artisans.  These artisans are the heart of the Indigenous fashion company.

Over 20 years of sustainable fashion, the fabrics are made from natural, sustainable fibers like 100% organic cotton, free range alpaca, and eco-friendly Tencel. Colors are created with safe, low-impact dyes, or from natural shades of organic cotton and alpaca wool. Each year Indigenous keeps 400 lbs of the worlds deadliest pesticides off the land, and 45,600 lbs of carbon dioxide out of the air. "We have just one, beautiful planet. Let's protect it together".

Nikibiki

Enjoy a comfortable, stretchy fit in undergarments and leggings from Nikibiki.  To say that Nikibiki products are soft would be an understatement. These are seamless wear items produced from a refined process, fine-tuned with over 15+ years experience in Los Angeles, CA. The unbelievably soft, lightweight fabric is what distinguishes these from all of the other products on the market. Nikibiki's sensational texture is simply impossible to compete with. Wearable for workouts, yoga, caual wear, and definately feels wonderful under a sweater, dress, or skirt!
